Hello and a warm welcome to cricket fans from all over the World for the live commentary of the Ultimate Championship "" between India and Australia. We are back here at the Kennington Oval, London for the Red ball "" action after a few months. This is the ultimate battle after a long war that has been taking place for the past two years. Multiple nations faced each other and the two teams which turned out best are Australia and India. This is the second edition of the World Test Championship and India gets through for the second time successively. Will India make the qualification worth it unlike the last time or will the Australians dominate here in England? Can the Indians create history? How will the playing combination be for India? Will they go with four pacers or will it be two spinners? Let's wait and watch and hope this encounter turns out to be an exciting one!

HEAD TO HEAD:-

India and Australia have faced each other 106 times and the opposition has an edge over India with 44 victories and India with 32. The last time these two oppositions faced were a couple of months back in India for a Four-Test match series where the Indians won the series 2-1.

Pitch Report:

Kumar Sangakkara: "It's cold here and there's a bit of wind. It's overcast as well so we can expect swing early on. When we look closer at the pitch, there's a lovely green covering of grass, so there'll be seam as well. We can expect a very good bounce here. So the teams might win the toss and opt to bowl?

TOSS:-

India wins the toss and elects to "" first!

Rohit Sharma, "" Skipper: "We will bowl first as the conditions and also the weather is overcast. The pitch won't change too much. We are going with four seamers and one spinner - Jadeja. It's always tough to leave Ashwin as he has been a match-winner for us over the years."

                                                                                                      ""

Pat Cummins, "" Skipper: "We would have bowled as well. Hopefully, there will be a spin on days four and five. We've been here for about 10 days. Pretty fresh, the weather has been nice, and we haven't missed a session, feeling good. Boland makes it into the playing XI and this pitch will suit him very well and he could be a serious weapon for us"

The ICC World Test Championship cycle has come to an end with Australia becoming the Ultimate Champions. Both the teams worked really hard and showed great agility for a long time and that is the reason for both the teams to get into the biggest stage of the longest format. However, Australia were better in this given Test and bagged the match by 209 runs. The toss favored the Indians and they chose to bowl first considering the conditions. The centuries from Steve Smith and Travis Head set the tone for a huge total and the team registered 469 runs. M Siraj was the highest wicket-taker for India with 4 scalps. After picking a few early wickets in the 1st Indian innings, the partnership of 109-run between Ajinkya Rahane and Shardul Thakur helped the team avoid the follow-on! With a lead of 173 runs on day 3, Australia were to set an unachievable target for India. Alex Carey's 66 runs were the highest from their batting and they declared after setting 444 runs. With a huge target to chase which would have been turned as the World record, the Indian batters Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started off with positive intentions but unfortunately, Gill was turned out. Hope was there until Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane battled through but wickets fell in regular intervals and were all out for 234 runs with Nathan Lyon taking 4 and Boland taking 3 crucial wickets.

Travis Head is the Player of the Match

Travis Head: "We put in a lot of hard work over the two years. We have always had a positive approach with the bat. Amazing Test from Smith and what we've come to expect from him here in England. Hope it's a big couple of months from him. I've always had the confidence and It's about going out there and expressing that. I've always been open to learning. I've bedded down somewhat of a blueprint. It's not always going to work. It's nice to work that out in such a big game and hopefully continues in the next couple of months."

Rohit Sharma, Indian Skipper: "I thought we started well putting them to bat in those conditions. We bowled well in the first session and then we let ourselves down. Got to give credit to the Australian batters. Head came in and played really well along with Smith. That just took us off guard a little bit. We knew it was always hard to come back, but we put up a good show. We fought till the end. We've worked hard for all those four years. Playing two finals is honestly a good achievement for us. But we'd like to go a mile ahead as well. Unfortunate that we couldn't go on and win the final but we'll keep our heads high and fight. The cheer from the crowd has been brilliant."

Pat Cummins, Australian Skipper: "We made the most of it after losing the toss. We also wanted to bowl. The way Head and Smith put on that partnership, gave us the comfort. Head has been brilliant right throughout this campaign. We left day one feeling like we were on top of the game. When it counted, we played really well. We could have really driven the game, didn't have our best day, and let India closer back in. For the most part, we were in control. Everyone played really well and we'll savour this for a few years. This is our favourite format, we grew up watching Test cricket. It challenges you. When you win, it's the format you get most satisfaction with."

0","2ndProjectedScore":"0","3rdProjectedScore":"0
);
