Hello and Welcome to the live commentary of the final and the exciting decider of the ODI series clash between West Indies and India at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. The previous two matches at Barbados turned out to be low-scoring encounters where India won the first match and the second match was sealed by West Indies to null the series. The winner of today's match will bag this series. The stalwarts Rohit and Virat may be back for today's game, so who do you think will make way for them? Who will claim the trophy today?

IT IS ALSO WORTH MENTIONING THAT THIS WILL BE THE VERY FIRST MEN'S ODI PLAYED HERE!!

TOSS:-

WEST INDIES WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO FIELD FIRST!

Shai Hope, West Indies Captain: "We will bowl first and get as much as we can from the surface. We are not changing our winning combination. Looks like a good surface and expect the ball to come on. It is all about the process and we need to be more consistent with the results as well."

Hardik Pandya, India Captain: We have two changes - Ruturaj replaces Umran and Unadkat comes in place of Axar. The boys are pumped up for the decider and looking forward to the game. The surface Looks good. Batting first gives a good opportunity for us to set a good total. Hoping for that."

India clinch the 3-Match ODI series 2-1 by winning the third match comprehensively by 200 runs. India were put into bat by West indies after they won the toss. Initially, The Indian openers got of to a positive start by putting a 143-run stand. Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill scored (77 & 85)runs respectively. After losing Ishan and Gill in quick successions, Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson's innings of (70 & 51) runs respectively helped to continue the momentum. This Helped India to score a mammoth total of 351 in 50 overs. West Indian Openers could not tackle the Indian pace attack and lost the wickets in continuos intervals. The way Mukesh Kumar bowled in the initial overs was outstanding by taking 3 quick wickets. Then it was a collapse for the host's middle order. Kuldeep and Unadkat doing the damage. The West Indies had a good 8th wicket partnership of 55 Runs from Motie and Joseph. Shardul Thakur picked up 4 wickets with his top quality bowling. It was a valiant effort from the Indian team which help them win this contest by a huge margin.

Shubman Gill is the Player of the Match

Shubman Gill: "Very special on my first half-century on this tour. I was hoping to get a big score for my team maybe a century but that did not happen the match was on our hands. It was a good track to bat on but things changed when the ball got older. It is all about playing by the situation and pre-meditating it as soon as possible. As an opener, it's your duty to do give a headstart to the team and luckily I was able to do the same. I thought in the last match I was settled I was trying for a big score and trying to put pressure on the opponent. That's the way this format works as well. I don't think who is playing and who is not. I always try to do my best."

Ishan Kishan is the Player of the Series

Ishan Kishan: "Not so happy with the finishing that I gave. I should have scored big after getting a good start. That’s what I’ll try next time. I was thinking of taking it one ball at a time. Shubman Gill is a tremendous player. Seeing him hitting it out of the middle gives me a lot of confidence. The learnings from these games are important. We were looking to get early wickets. Everyone is looking very positive. I’ve played a few tournaments here and I know how the wickets play here."

Shai Hope, West Indies skipper: "We restricted them well enough seeing how the pitch behaved before. We can look back and change many things but we have to accept it. We didn't give them a challenge with the ball at the start. 350 was a gettable total on that wicket. We gotta believe that we can win. The consistency in attitude and the key is to get the guys together and turn some of these losses into wins."

Hardik Pandya, Indian Skipper: "As a captain, I look forward to these types of games where something is at stake and not just an international match. The way the boys came out and expressed their character and at the same time enjoyed, that's the thing I want this team to possess. In these kinds of pressure situations, they have to be used to it but also enjoy it. Kohli and Rohit are very important part of this team. So providing youngsters the kind of exposure and making sure that if we need to check something, we can do that. The pitch was doing well. I was just waiting my time and once I got the flow I could get the rest. The ball was doing a bit initially. When you are chasing a total of 350, batters will feel the difficulty. A couple of good catches by Gill as well. West Indies woke up late with that partnership and took the game till the 34th over but the game was over in the powerplay phase itself. This is one of the nicest stadiums that I have played on."

212","2ndProjectedScore":"0","3rdProjectedScore":"0
"T20ProMatchID":"
"GroundUmpire1ID":489,"GroundUmpire2ID":30,"GroundUmpire3ID":34
"HomeTeamColor1":"","HomeTeamColor2":"","AwayTeamColor1":"","AwayTeamColor2":"
1
India","timezone1":"Asia/Kolkata
"GroundUmpire1":"Gregory Brathwaite","GroundUmpire2":"Marais Erasmus
"1Summary":"181/10 (40.5 Overs)","1FallScore":"181","1FallWickets":"10","1FallOvers":"40.5","1RunRate":"4.43","2Summary":"182/4 (36.4 Overs)","2FallScore":"182","2FallWickets":"4","2FallOvers":"36.4","2RunRate":"4.96","3Summary":"","3FallScore":"","3FallWickets":"","3FallOvers":"","3RunRate":"","4Summary":"","4FallScore":"","4FallWickets":"","4FallOvers":"","4RunRate":"","5Summary":"","5FallScore":"","5FallWickets":"","5FallOvers":"","5RunRate":"","6Summary":"","6FallScore":"","6FallWickets":"","6FallOvers":"","6RunRate":

Hello and Welcome to the live Commentary of the second match of the ODI series against the West Indies at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. West Indies suffered a big loss in their first match as they got all out for 114 runs which was then chased by India in 23 overs. Will we see any changes in their XI? Will the pitch be the same way as the first ODI? Can India seal the series today? A lot to answer here today!

PITCH REPORT:

Daren Ganga and Shakera Selman: "This is the same pitch as the last game. The wicket is usually hard but there is a hard length area and the bowlers can extract some turn and bounce. There will be variable bounce and a high amount of turn that was there in the first match and things can be challenging."

TOSS:-

West Indies won the toss and elected to field first!

Shai Hope, West Indies Captain: "We opt to bowl firs. We knew what happened here in the last game. The conditions will assist the bowlers. We got to win this one to stay alive in the series. Have to play on the same surface. We got to bowl first and put them under pressure. Powell and Drakes are out. Alzarri Joseph and Keacy Carty replaces them."

Hardik Pandya, Indian Captain: "We wanted to bat first. We want to see how much we can score on this pitch which is a bit up and down. Rohit and Virat have been playing constant cricket, so they are resting in this game. I think when you get someone out for 115, it's a good effort from the bowlers. Our catching was impressive, but we can improve in certain areas. Instead of losing five wickets, we could have lost only two. Sanju Samson and Axar Patel comes in for Rohit and Virat."

West Indies takes revenge for losing the previous match at the same venue here two nights back. The hosts won the toss this time and opted to field first. The opening partnership between I Kishan (55 off 55) and S Gill was worth 90 runs until the 17th over when Gill was dismissed for 34 runs. The West Indian bowlers never left the momentum fall and were accounted for wickets often. Both G Motie and R Shepherd scalped 3 wickets each putting the Indian team's batting to an end for 181 runs. In the second innings, Shardul Thakur went for a couple of wickets in the same over but the stand between the skipper S Hope (63* off 80) and K Carty (48* off 65) steadied the ship and neared the target. They both stayed till the end and finished the job for their team.

The series stands 1-1 now and the third and final ODI will be an exciting decider.

Hardik Pandya, Indian Captain: "We did not bat the way we wanted to. The wicket got much better than in the first innings. Disappointing, but got to learn many more things. The way the openers batted was brilliant. Shardul kept our hopes alive. Hope batted very well, they held their nerves and got over the line. I have to bowl more overs to get ready for the World Cup. The next game will be exciting for the viewers as well as the players."

Shai Hope is the Player of the Match

Shai Hope, West Indies Skipper: "I am happy to have contributed and when the team wins. You got to find ways to score quickly on that wicket, especially against a quality bowling attack like India. Got to win the next game to take the series. The guys are going to come hard again. We need to be more consistent with the bat and ball. PITCH REPORT:

Samuel Badree and Shakera Selman: "The game will be played on pitch three. The square boundaries are around 65 meters and the straight boundaries are around 70 meters. It is generally a dry surface and the pitch might have a bit of a spongy bounce."

TOSS:-

India wins the toss and elects to field first!

Rohit Sharma, Indian Skipper: "We will bowl first. No particular reason, we want to try a few different things. We want to get into the World Cup with a clear mindset. We are going to try out different players. The results are also important. We have got four seamers and two spinners. Mukesh makes his debut."

Shai Hope, West Indies Skipper: "Every series is important for us. We've got to play to win. Now is a good opportunity to do so against a top team. We have got some good spinners as well. We will try to put up a good score on the surface. There will be a bit of moisture and we need to be bat careful in the beginning to score big."

Excellent start here for India as they show their supreme domination with the ball! On winning the toss, India elected to bowl first. The Indian pacers opened the wicket tally after which the spinners Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav accounted for 3 and 4 wickets respectively. The West Indies skipper Shai Hope was the highest scorer of the innings with 43 runs. They were all out for 114 runs. With a considerably low target to chase, the Indian batting order was tested as Ishan Kishan opened with Gill on the other end. Ishan successfully scored his fourth fifty but few wickets were taken by the WI bowlers to impose pressure. However, the target was chasable easily and it was done with 5 wickets remaining. With this win, India go 1-0 in the series!

Kuldeep Yadav is the Player of the Match

Kuldeep Yadav: "The fast bowlers bowled really well with Mukesh making his debut well. Jaddu and I were brilliant, we hit the right lengths which was necessary on this wicket. I'm just focusing on my rhythm, hitting the right lengths and it has been very nice. I thought it will be a seamy paradise, we are happy to get wickets from our side. It was spinning a bit, and there was a bounce as well. It's always good to have competition. We enjoy each other's company."

Shai Hope, West Indies captain: "We didn't play the way we needed to. We need to find ways to score on difficult pitches like this. I'm not making excuses. Seales is a quality bowler, we can invest on him and I hope he grows from strength to strength. The Indian bowlers did well on this surface, but we didn't bat well."

Rohit Sharma, Indian Captain: "I never thought the pitch would play like that. The pitch had everything for seamers and spinners, our guys did well to restrict them to that score. We wanted to give game time to the guys who have come in. We knew we could try these guys and give them a go. I don't think they'll get many chances like this. Mukesh was brilliant, he can swing the ball at a good pace. Good to see what he can offer. No matter the conditions, we need to bowl in the right areas to restrict them and I thought our bowlers did brilliantly. And then Ishan was good with the bat as well."

258","2ndProjectedScore":"0","3rdProjectedScore":"0
);
