The excitement is palpable at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium as the England Women's cricket team and the Indian Women's team gear up for their third T20I clash. England, riding high with a 2-0 lead in the series, is not just looking at a series sweep but also to build momentum ahead of their upcoming challenges. India, although trailing in the series, is eager to showcase their prowess on home ground and gain a morale boost before they head into the test series.The teams will also need to adapt their strategies to contend with the evening dew, which can significantly alter the game, particularly in the later overs.

Today's match transcends a mere contest of skills; it's a showcase of strategic acumen and the indomitable spirit emblematic of women's cricket. Fans are in for a thrilling spectacle, whether it results in England completing a dominant series whitewash or India making a strong statement with a comeback.

TOSS:-

Heather Night, England Women Skipper: " We have played some brilliant cricket. The bowlers were superb last evening. We have a few younger players today getting a chance. The crowd keeps getting quiet when we get a wicket. Tremendous atmosphere to play cricket in."

Powerplay (1-6 Overs) :-

England- 32/3 (5.36 rpo, 3x4, 1x6) || India- 31/1 (5.2 rpo, 5x4, 0x6)

Middle Overs (7-15 Overs) :-

England- 44/4 (4.9 rpo, 3x4, 1x6) || India- 62/1 (6.9 rpo, 6x4, 2x6)

Death Overs (16-20 Overs) :-

England- 50/2 (10.0 rpo, 3x4, 2x6) || India- 34/3 (8.5 rpo, 3x4, 0x6)

India secured a victory in the match, providing a much-needed boost to their confidence as they move towards the Test match. Despite the series win eluding them, this triumph is a step forward for the Indian team. Harmanpreet Kaur, speaking at the toss, expressed satisfaction with certain aspects of their gameplay, despite it being sporadic. This win signifies their ability to consolidate these moments of good cricket into a comprehensive performance. The Indian bowlers were commendable, putting England in a challenging situation early in the game. England's innings could have concluded much earlier if not for Heather Knight's determined fifty, which was crucial in preventing a total collapse.

Harmanpreet Kaur, India Captain: "I'm feeling okay, these niggles are something I'm used to. As a team, we've shown improvement; game time is crucial for us, and today's performance proves that we'll continue to get better with each match. It was essential for me to stay focused and contribute what the team needed. Facing the spinners was challenging since some balls were turning while others went straight, creating doubt in a batter's mind. In our batting approach, we aimed to carefully select our shots. The left-right combination in our lineup also played a significant role in our strategy."

Shreyanka Patil, Player of the Match:"I am very happy, as this is the first time I have taken three wickets in a match. My family and coach were watching, which makes this moment even more special for me. I am extremely pleased and intend to keep up this performance. The experiences I gained in the Women's Premier League and with the India-A team have been beneficial. I am very happy to be a part of the Indian squad and am enjoying every moment of it. It's been a huge experience for me, bowling in tandem with Deepthi. She has been a great support, having discussions with me both on and off the field. I am looking forward to bowling more with her. I enjoyed all three of my wickets and it's hard to pick just one as a favorite"

Heather Knight, England Captain: "This match provided valuable learning opportunities. We decided to rest some key players and give others a chance to showcase their skills. The crowd was fantastic, and I hope the experience taught our younger players how to maintain composure under pressure. Shreyanka bowled exceptionally well against us. We didn't quite apply ourselves as effectively as we could have. Our batting wasn't up to our usual standard; reaching a score around 140 might have made the game more competitive. Nonetheless, there are many positives to take from this. We managed to put pressure back on the Indian team and learned a lot about our younger players."

Nat Sciver-Brunt, Player of the Series: "I'm really pleased with my performance. I had a bit of a rest tonight but it was still a special and enjoyable game of cricket, especially for the fans. The wicket was slightly slower and less consistent compared to the first game. The Indian bowlers performed superbly, making it challenging for us. In terms of my batting, focusing on the tempo and committing to my shots are aspects I've been working on, and they seem to be paying off. Adaptability is crucial in cricket, as every game presents a different situation."

133","2ndProjectedScore":"0","3rdProjectedScore":"0
"T20ProMatchID":"
"GroundUmpire1ID":556,"GroundUmpire2ID":261,"GroundUmpire3ID":483
"HomeTeamColor1":"","HomeTeamColor2":"","AwayTeamColor1":"","AwayTeamColor2":"
53
England (Women)","timezone1":"Asia/Kolkata
"GroundUmpire1":"N Janani","GroundUmpire2":"Rohan Pandit
"1Summary":"80/10 (16.2 Overs)","1FallScore":"80","1FallWickets":"10","1FallOvers":"16.2","1RunRate":"4.9","2Summary":"82/6 (11.2 Overs)","2FallScore":"82","2FallWickets":"6","2FallOvers":"11.2","2RunRate":"7.24","3Summary":"","3FallScore":"","3FallWickets":"","3FallOvers":"","3RunRate":"","4Summary":"","4FallScore":"","4FallWickets":"","4FallOvers":"","4RunRate":"","5Summary":"","5FallScore":"","5FallWickets":"","5FallOvers":"","5RunRate":"","6Summary":"","6FallScore":"","6FallWickets":"","6FallOvers":"","6RunRate":
Women in Blue will face England Women in match number 2 of the 3-match T20 I series at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. England's decision to bowl first paid off as India lost 4 wickets in the powerplay and thereafter failed to make a comeback. Charlotte Dean was the pick of the bowlers getting the wickets of both the openers early in the innings. England too had their struggles with the bat as Renuka Singh made the new ball talk making it difficult when the ball was new. But a partnership between Alice Capsey and Sciver Brunt which added 42 runs made sure that India had hardly any chance to stage a dramatic comeback. Deepti Sharma who was introduced in the ninth over managed to scalp two in two deliveries but that was not enough to restrict the English side under 80. Not clinical but England manage to clinch the game and series on the back of this win.

Harmanpreet Kaur, India Women Skipper: " Another 30-40 runs could have made a big difference. Proud of my team, we fought till the last run which is a good thing to see. We always want to play with positive intent, but unfortunately, some of us didn't read the ball well and the English Team also bowled well which didn't allow us to score freely. After losing early wickets, we were thinking 120, but couldn't manage. Still proud of our bowlers."

Heather Night, England Women Skipper: " A brilliant game of Cricket and the crowd was outstanding too, you felt the pressure out in the middle. Charlie Dean bowled a lot for us in the powerplay, she provides that balance in the side and I thought our bowling unit bowled well. I thought it was quite hard for our openers and I thought Renuka Singh bowled well and the job was to score as many in the powerplay and not lose too many wickets. We have a Test match coming up and we want to win the series 3-0."

Charlotte Dean is the Player of the Match

Charlotte Dean: "Really happy with how the game played out for us, the bowlers around me made it very easy for me. However, from that point onwards, England's performance remained dominant.

Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt played a pivotal role, forging a formidable partnership of 138 runs. However, the English spinners played a crucial role in shifting the momentum in their favor. Sophie Ecclestone's exceptional bowling figures of 3/15 in 4 overs stood out as a highlight of England's bowling performance. Shafali Verma made a notable contribution with a half-century, but it ultimately proved insufficient as England secured a convincing victory. This win provides England with an early lead in the series, setting the stage for an exciting contest in the upcoming matches. Harmanpreet Kaur (India Captain) - "We must absorb these lessons swiftly, as these types of matches are invaluable for our growth before the T20 World Cup. Acknowledging the strength of our opponents in their batting lineup, it's important to note that we've made some adjustments in our bowling department. We are determined to bounce back with greater resilience. While our performance in the match fell short of our expectations, we are committed to analyzing the positives and approaching the next game with a positive mindset. Despite having control of the game after losing a couple of wickets, the final 10 overs didn't unfold as we had strategized."

Heather Knight (England Captain) - "The game unfolded positively, aligning with our desired approach. While I would have preferred to bowl first, I'm genuinely satisfied with our batting performance and the total we achieved. It's worth noting that we allowed some extras, an area where improvement is possible, but overall, it was a good game against a strong Indian side."

Nat Sciver-Brunt (Player of the Match) - "It's a wonderful feeling to reunite with the England team and deliver a performance of this caliber. We aimed to exhibit courage in our approach, and Danni executed that brilliantly, relieving some of the pressure on me. I'm genuinely delighted with how our partnership unfolded. We each bring our unique strengths to the table, and our partnership functions seamlessly. The pitch was in good condition, offering some assistance to the spinners with a slight hold, and the slower deliveries proved effective, adding a layer of challenge for the opposing batters."

159","2ndProjectedScore":"0","3rdProjectedScore":"0
);

Charles Dagnall and Anjum Chopra: "50m and 53m square boundaries, 60m straight down the ground. It looks like a belter of a track. Beautiful batting paradise here at Wankhede. The challenge for the bowlers will be about figuring out where to pitch the ball.
